The Tower of Miguel Nunis

This is a defence tower from the Islamic era, 10th to 12th century. Built at a strategic location, at the highest point of the hill, it had a great view of the Minorca channel.

Church Terraces

Along the Capdepera coast there is a series of watch towers which were built between the 12th and 16th centuries as a defence system.

What remains of the primitive church is the first chapel, located on the right going in, as well as the first stretch of the dome-shaped structure of the nave, where one can see the coat of arms of Capdepera.

The Wall

he walls, built of masonry and blocks of sandstone, which is plentiful in the area, are of a Gothic style, with military characteristics, typical of the 13th and 14th centuries.

The Governor’s Residence

During the 16th century the defence and protection of the castle fell to the Gabellins until, from 1375 at the orders of the governor, the guard duty was shared with the inhabitants of Capdepera and a number of men from Arta.
